About Listeny
Listeny turns anything you read into something you can listen to — instantly, and entirely for free.
Our Mission
We believe reading shouldn't be limited to your eyes. Long articles, research papers, study notes, and PDFs all take real effort to get through on a screen. Listeny helps people consume that same information with their ears instead — while walking, commuting, or simply resting their eyes — so they can learn faster, retain more, and feel less reading fatigue.
What Listeny Does
Paste any text or upload a PDF, press play, and Listeny reads it aloud in a natural voice — highlighting each word and sentence as it's spoken so you can follow along. You can change the voice, adjust the reading speed, switch between light and dark mode, and pick up exactly where you left off the next time you visit.
There's no account to create, no software to install, and no limit on how much you can listen to. Everything runs directly in your browser.
Who Listeny Is For
Listeny was built for students working through long textbooks, researchers getting through stacks of papers, professionals reviewing reports and contracts, and anyone who finds it easier to absorb information by listening — including people with dyslexia, ADHD, or visual fatigue who benefit from an audio-first way to read.
Our Approach
We're not trying to be another AI chatbot or another voice generator with endless upsells. Listeny stays focused on one thing: making written content easy and pleasant to listen to. The reading experience comes first — calm, clear, and distraction-free, closer to a Kindle than to a typical SaaS app.
